Several graphical glitches (Linux, Intel)
I'm having some graphical glitches on my laptop.

The glitches happens both in 3.6.10 and on a Inferno build of the svn.

Screenshots of some glitches:
Strange artifacts in tech room (not sure if they appear ingame but I'm guessing they do)

Even more strange artifacts ingame
Strange artifacts in-game while targeting
Background artifacts when turning

The laptop is a Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S7110 with Intel 945GM graphics.
It runs Sabayon linux 5.2 (fully updated) with the 2.6.34 kernel.

First, get DRIConf or an equivalent and switch on S3TC Texture compression. Then get YAL or the wxLauncher to configure FS2_Open. Also make sure you're running with 32 bits of colour depth (the log indicates that it's only giving you 24 bits, which is a bit strange).

First, get DRIConf or an equivalent and switch on S3TC Texture compression. Then get YAL or the wxLauncher to configure FS2_Open. Also make sure you're running with 32 bits of colour depth (the log indicates that it's only giving you 24 bits, which is a bit strange).

I installed DRIConf and enabled texture compression, I am also already launching it through YAL (0.3 RC2).
No idea why it only uses 24 bit color though. (After checking it turns out that the i830 driver doesn't support 32 bit, I wonder if there are other drivers)

Normally, I'd tell you to try updating your drivers.

In addition, try using the "-novbo" and "-no_set_gamma" commandline options.

"-novbo" and "-no_set_gamma" didn't do anything, I'm starting to believe that this laptop just can't handle the game.

No, they don't.

Having said that, the problem most certainly is on the part of the drivers and hardware, not FSO.

Well, at least I know of 0 cases of 945GM@linux play FSO properly. Could be wrong.
