Is it just me? or is someone else having those ads too?

I would post this in site support, but i don't think it has to go there, correct me if i'm wrong, tho.

I don't have anything against scientologist, people are entitled to believe whatever mumbo jumbo they want unless it comes into harming others, but i would rather not have these ads all over the place, can the admin do something about these? they say ads by google...

Can something be done or should i activate the adblocker? i really don't want to do that since i can't actually donate to keep this place up, so the least i can do is have some ads :b

The result is that the Church of Scientology end up having to pay a fortune to Google for people who are only going to their site in order make them pay money.

because they didn't get rid of the scientology adds that were on it's site, and in fact they clicked on them cause they thought it was funny and then they lost their google adsence account.

there was also an admin war.

That's why it needs to be a really big group of people and they can't confine themselves to a few websites. If every website that has scientology ads on them has this happen Google can't pull them all.

I wasn't talking about them doing it just here on HLP. It needs to be everywhere.

How does clicking those ads cost the CoS money? I'm not sure I understand how that works...

that's how google makes money, a company (for example the church of scientology) puts up adds and pays for them every time they are displayed, it's only a few cents per view, but with millions of view it can rack up to **** tons of money. they pay more when the adds are clicked upon.
