It's too bad the rantings of a few people prevented the rest of us from coming to our own conclusions about this campaign.  Again the actions of a few have determined what the rest of us get to play.  I see that Top Ace has pulled all the links for his campaign.
Normal people believe that if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Engineers believe that if it isn't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.
The difference between Mechanical Engineers and Civil Engineers is:
Mechanical Engineers build weapons.  Civil Engineers build targets
An optimist sees the glass half full; the pessimist sees it half empty. An engineer sees that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Yeah if people don't like the campaign, that's fine. Just leave it out there if other people want to try it out. No need to go and nuke everything. 36 missions is a lot of friggin work to just hide in a closet.

So, what else should they have done? Axem, Woolie and NGTM-1R felt that DoS had deficiencies, and they addressed them in a commendably concise and non-flamey way. TopAce decided on his own to remove all downloads for the campaign. If you want to be angry at someone for denying you the right to come to your own conclusions, that would be TopAce.

I'm pretty sure this whole getting-pulled bit is a once-off. I certainly can't recall anyone ever pulling a campaign after release before. I mean, leave aside the whole trolling about people who expressed legitimate and well-founded concerns about presentation and dialogue. Just what are you talking about here?

He shouldn't have removed the campaign, sure, it was a bit boring and writing wasn't the best, but FREDing was good and campaign was playable. New weapons weren't bad and music was really awesome.

I'm going to go ahead and lock this, since it doesn't feel like anything constructive can come of it.  What's done is done, it seems.
