A silly poll for a serious question.  I've always been kind of curious as to which postures were more common.

As for me, I alternate between my right/left side -- it feels too weird to just sleep on my back.  Maybe I should see a doctor. D:

whenever and however the fk i can.  right up to slumped over in a nasty, beat up armchair inexplicably present in the dungeon we call the nuclear lab with my head inches away from a hot soldering iron. 

when i'm actually in a bed, there is no normal.  sometimes left side, sometimes right, sometimes back and even stomach though that's not terribly comfortable for long.  sometimes even curled up in a ball or sideways with my ass on the edge and my legs hanging off.

so i voted for levitate.

On my back, I feel like my ribs are getting compressed if I sleep on my side.  The only time I'll sleep on my stomach is on the onset of a cold, it keeps all the sinus **** from sliding down my throat and spreading.  This way I always keep it contained until Airborne/Zinc/Lysine and my immune system pound it into submission.

I'm a spineless, wishy-washy, flip-flopper! Sometimes I fall asleep on my back, but I've noticed a strong correlation between that and having one or both of my arms fall asleep (in my sleep) and then wake me up (except not my arms) and then I gotta bang 'em together to get the blood flowing again. Weird stuff.

I get to sleep late enough that it doesn't matter, and that I don't recall what position I end up in before I fall unconscious.

I swap left and right depending on what is comfortable. After I'm asleep I must do somersaults because when I wake up I could be in any direction or orientation.

it makes people trip SERIOUS balls.  the girl i was more or less supervising after taking it went on and on about "wall parasites," thought she was a wooly mammoth, found a panda on the floor (was a spot of hardened gum) and swore at it, saw an alien landing pad outside and helped the "parasites" get to it by wedging a soccer ball between the blinds and the window, climbed up on top of furniture (and got violent when i tried to stop her), went on numerous "trips" (closed eyes and was still for about 30 seconds), like to the tombs in the pyramids, and tried to remove my arm and leg hair with one of those hair clip things.

and this is all without the added effect of alcohol, which she will get into when unsupervised.

Hmmm, reminds me of DMT except without the feeling of having your brain getting hit by lightning.
Clearly I need to try this wooly-mammoth stuff -- sounds like an adventure.
