Pilots screen so cluttered. Rather have a head of a pilot and then some biographical info (on a smaller window).
Options screen is lol-worthy. I'd put some slide bars and maybe some wave-form thingies to make it look more SciFi.
Also double-lol at WLM v 2365

I think it looks cool. Although 'tech' seems a bit of a crude title for such a flash looking menu screen. :P

I think the mainhall here looks really quite neat, and I'd love to see it in-game.

Good work, Shadow.

I have to agree that the pilots screen is too cluttered, but aside from that everything looks awesome.  Love the cool technoblue theme. :)

some pictures (options menu for instance) looks stretched out, and I do not particularly like the large close shut down icons which dominate the screen a little to much. IMO the overall thing needs a little more structure... but hey its just me nitpicking the idea is pretty neat and the theme looks cool too

I like it. The silhouettes and the techno blue color make it seem like some futuristic version of NASA mission control.

That whole idea of the silhouettes in the foreground, could do well to add a degree of immersion for mission briefings.  Just regulate the positioning so it looks like the player is sitting among pilots, with the briefing officer standing beyond, then the mission details are being projected behind him/her.  In fact, if it was possible, the silhouettes could even be part of a simple animation, having them shift slightly in their seats, while the briefing officer would shift from foot to foot, turn towards the display, look down at notes on a clip-board, switch arms from at the sides to crossed in front, to crossed behind, or turn the head towards various nondescript pilots.  Of course, this would all likely require significant interface code changes to work.

Actually, you don't really need to do any more with it - That you're in the background of the whole scene already suggests to the player that he or she is in the background of a room with a massive display being observed by a group of concerned individuals. And I like the various selection boxes - it makes me feel like being in a projector room with the lecturer demonstrating things on his or her screen.

Now, I do agree that animated silhouettes would be amazingly cool, but also keep in mind that's a lot of work to do... And who spends that much time in the launch screen anyway?

This is wildly, wildly optimistic. The engine cannot do any of this on the briefing screen.

The image posted appears to be as a mainhall, but I was making suggestions for pilot's briefings, which would be in a different room.  The same silhouettes could be used for the command briefings however, with a different backdrop, as they would be taking place in a larger room.

For the moment I believe that the briefing and CB 'screens', i.e. the foreground elements, are hardcoded and cannot be changed or rearranged.

That's fascinating. What does it have to do with what I said?

Mainhalls are not briefing screens. Mainhalls, and mainhall misc anims, cannot be used in briefing screens. Battuta is entirely correct.
