But what's the point of a PS3? It doesn't do particularily anything good. The only reason to get one is a blu-ray player, which you can get for signifigantly less then a PS3. The only improvement over the PS2 game-wise is the graphics.
The fact that the basic gameplay is basically the same as on the PS2 is a big selling point for some of us.
It's about 7 times as big, which is a problem for people (like me) that only have a tiny cabinet like me.
And? That makes it a bad choice for you, not a bad choice in general.
Why on earth would you want to use the internet without a keyboard?
You are sort of forgetting that you can hook up any old USB keyboard and mouse to the PS3.
It's also extremely overpriced, with $60 games the norm rather then the exception they are on PC.
Welcome to the Console world.
And like I said, game-wise, it doesn't innovate anything. My friends are always making fun of my Wii; well, at least Nintendo it trying, instead of redoing what's been done for the last 10 years.
Yawn. Yes, there are quite a few good games on the Wii that make good use of the new controls.
There's also tons of crappy ripoffs and bad conversions. As a single-use device, the Wii ain't too bad.
But the PS3, as a game machine, media stream renderer and BD-player all in one, just offers a better value for the price, if you're looking for something that can do more than just play games.
