I seem to be having a bit of a problem when using custom heads in Fred. The problem is that they won't show up in mission. I am trying to get the civilan anis that Black Wolf(i think it was him, sorry if its not) made. I am sure i have put them in the correct folder. Fred by default seems to look in the missions folder and thats were i put them. When i play a mission and the message i assigned to them plays the ani won't. Have i put them in the wrong folder, should it be in hud which is where i thought they were ment to go? Also does it matter which one i use ie Head-Civ2c instead of Head-Civ2a??

They don't go in the missions folder.  FRED looks for anything in the last folder FRED looked in.  They go in the data\hud folder.

Thats what i thought, but for some reason i always assumed it was the missions folder as fred has always looked in there, even first time using after a fresh install.

You have to omit the a, b, c letters.  Freespace always expects three head anis with those suffixes to choose from.  If any of the a, b or c files is missing, the ANI will not work at all.
