descided to modela  mech fora  change from space ships - i cheated slighly for now to it looked abit better for the wip shot i reused the minigun from my fighter but it will be replaced witha custom minigun fairly shortly

I like how the cockpit reflects. Ya know, what we need is a :faintdeadawayfromamazement: smily. :D
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Looks like its in an arena of some sort.... and it seems that firing missiles from its shoulder-mount would almost tip the mech over.... but otherwise nice

Its pretty, but it doesnt look too practical...
Big cockpit = easy target = dead pilot

Not bad, for a starter.

Long exposure to exclusively space environments usually makes it hard to get into other fields, I've noted, but you seem to have done pretty well transitioning to surface environments.

Aft venting is all you need to solve that. Look at the rocket pods on modern helicopters. They're built this way to prevent the kickback from affecting the helicopter's flight dynamic. A mech missile pod should use the same thing.

do you think that the cockpit is actually big or do you think that its just the mech is small?  i vote the second and in which case, it would be rather hard to hit with its small size and presumabley speedyness.

It looks a bit fragile but very detailed and also non-symmetrical; I really like it. :yes2::nod::yes: Love those pistons; they look just like the Lego pneumatic pieces. ;7

Assuming those missiles are the same size as the BT ones, then its a big cockpit. That missile rack would be the same size as a Timberwolf's.

you miss the obvious fact that this is clearly not a battletech design :p You point out ridiculous details like the size of the missiles (and there's all kinds of missiles of any size anyway, and you forget to compare to the minigun etc), and you don't even notice battle mechs never have this organic style? I give you 2/20 on BT knowledge :p

And I dont care what you think I know about BT..
I know what I know, and thats all that matters... (and its quite a damn bit more than 2/20)
