Installer - Section find failed.
I am getting an error using the Windows installer. Is my firewall blocking or are the servers down today ?

"A section specified in the install config could not be found. (FreeSpace Open 3.6.10 Windows Executables)"

Re: Installer - Section find failed.
It's fine - the 3.6.10 Executables are out of date and unnecessary and the Installer hasn't been updated to be aware of that.

What's important is that you end up with the 3.6.12 exes. Run the installer - do those turn up?

Someone really needs to fix this issue as it's confusing as heck, the installer misguides people into thinking we're still back on 3.6.10.

Re: Installer - Section find failed.
I believe you are correct. After saying Yes ( continue without file ) about five times, I am downloading 3.6.12 files now.

Re: Installer - Section find failed.
( Native english , but I am impaired at the moment )

The only FS_OPEN executables that downloaded were the version 12 INFERNOs.
The ini file was still pointing to the normal version 10.
Am I skipping a step or doing something wrong ?
( I know how to point the launcher to an exe, I was expecting the normal exe. )

Re: Installer - Section find failed.
Just point it to the 3.6.12 INF build (use release, not debug.) Don't forget to select MediaVPs_3612 as a mod, and you might consider turning on a few more launcher flags - just don't use mipmap.
