I have a model that Ryx made for a Vasudan corvette with a fighterbay which I need to have converted.  It is currently in 3ds format and is textured.  Sadly, I can't even look at the textured version until I find someone to do this for me.

Any takers?

Open it in Truespace...

I don't have Truespace.  But looking at the thing is not really the main point.  I just added that bit in at the end to indicate my general helplessness to get done what I need to get done.  What I need is a conversion of the thing.

Open in truespace 1, save as cob. Convert to pof using POFCS

That's it?  Oh, okay.  I was under the impression it was a more complicated procedure than that.

Truespace 1 lost all of the texturing info, and the Truespace 5 demo of course won't save.  How do I put it back?  Or is there a tutorial that someone could direct me to or something?

Use 3D exploration, if you don't have it search for 3D exploration and find the trial version you can download. Next.
