Worst technologies: Chatrooms/IRCs/ICQ. No need for an explanation there- if you don't know why these things are an abomination worse than the feared Pepsi commercial, you're likely part of the reason I hate them. The new, largely Microsoft-spawned demons of the internet such as Macros, enabling script kiddies to hit me without me even opening the email and popup ads to dance obscenely about my screen and conceal their close buttons. And the TV.

My fourth worst would be the car, and my fifth the telephone (though it made the internet possible, the Plastic Bastard jams my DSL line and enables annoying, stupid people to harass me all night long. In fact, rank the answering machine right above the phone, 'cause it means I don't have a good excuse for never returning calls except "I can't stand you, burn in hell." Which isn't too good for business deals.) After that, put genetically engineered viruses and all the other things that make us die horribly along those lines. At least they kill the stupid telephone people, too.

So many errors, so many screwed up assertions... I just don't know where to begin...
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]

WHAT THE HELL??????
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Yeah and when the aliens/asteriods come, will you still be complaining about nukes?
Got Ether?

Well in that case, why didn't we keep smallpox rampant so it'd be easy to infect the aliens when they arrive here? It's a stupid argument...

Nukes are an effective deterrent for rational leaders of normal nuclear nations. For people like OBL, they're just another weapon. THAT is why they're unsafe. Move past the Cold War, man! :ha:

Oh, and my best/worst things are pretty much the same as wEvil's. Best:

* Computers - self-explanatory.
* Telephones - stay in touch with the people you love all the time!
* CDs - Mmmm, music.

Worst:

* Corporate culture - WIPO, erosion of rights, co-option of lifestlye as advertising etc all in the pursuit of profits at all cost.
* Free Market Economics - sure to garner a great big [laugh at Kellan] - I'm referring to one-way free trade, the aforemetioned corporate culture and the IMF, World Bank and so on.
* Cars - I know they're damn useful, and I rely on them, but I'm scared of what they can do, and how they make communities drift apart.

Commence the ripping apart, please. :doubt:

Good way to be, that way you're always nice and confused...

You know, I was just watching TV for the first time in about 2 months (I should have waited longer), and I realized something- I'm in the first generation containing multiple countercultures with a really noticeable corporate sponsorship... I mean, really. Is most rap music/ ghetto culture nowadays more about being black, disenfranchised, and poor or about being white and trying to get a tan?

Hmm. You're right about Barney! Should have put that on my list too. But seriously, I had one whole summer in baby sitting my neice where she watched all day, every day the Telletubies, and I couldn't take it anymore, all that "eh oh... Bai baiiii...." or "Oooone.... Tuuuuuu.... Thweeeee!!!" *shudder*

Oh well, thats just me. :nervous:
