Ships and Personas
I was just wondering if anyone has found a way to make Terran HEAD-anis consistently appear for the ship arrival/dogfight messages coming from a Vasudan fighter or bomber, and vice versa. By this I mean that not only would they say normal messages as you want (easy enough) but the other messages ("bandit on your tail!" etc) would appear as though from the same - or same species, at least - head.

Just put the ships persona to Wingman-6-vas for your terran ships and wingman-3 for your vasudan ships ;)

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I sometimes get patchy results with the damn personas...

Same here sometimes, at times they just revert back to or whatever :P

I think it has to do with setting the personas being the last thing you must do. If you don't do it last, it reverts, or something.

Yeah, it's a tad annoying

Can anyone tell me in which res do the pcx files (that you turn into ani's) have to be for the pilot/command ani's during the game? They are in the interface folder, right?

I can't be sure about the resolution (find out in AniView) but they must be 256 color grayscale.

160x120; same as the pilot images. The color palette used is actually some special one; it has 256 colors, but only the first 16 have grays in them (one blue as well), with the rest all green. This palette must be used for anything on the hud or for briefing icons for it to work properly; just extract it out of one of the original ani or pcx files. ;)

I have also had this happen once or twice in my missions, but I was never really able to determine the cause. Maybe it changes back to default when some other property of the fighters is changed. (like the squadron logo file bug)

I think this happens whenever you doing anything to the mission, at least that's my experience. Damn annoying if you ask me.

Why not visit the Time of Change website?

It happens when you change a wing as a whole. like select them all. and edit
