How Many Countries Have You Been To?
I'm a little curious how much people get around.
Personally I've been to 11 countries across Europe and Asia, but curiously I've only been south of the equator once.
Right now I'm in South Korea.

Re: How Many Countries Have You Been To?
Uhh... lots, mostly in Europe. Lets see...

Denmark (home sweet home)
Sweden
Norway
Greenland
England
Scotland
Germany
Poland
The Czech Republic
France
Belgium
Switzerland
Italy
Greece
Spain
Portugal
Turkey
The United States
Canada

All northern hemisphere, but I'll manage to get south of the big dotted line eventually. If nothing else, I'll definitely be visiting Australia and New Zealand at some point, and I'd like to do a grand tour of south america as well some time. Never been to Asia, unless you count Turkey. Want to visit China and Japan though, and maybe a few of the other stable countries in the region like Vietnam or South Korea (NOT near the north, though. I'm allergic to artillery fire), but those are not a huge priority for me.

This, except we stayed at Niagara Falls for a few days.  I'm not much of a ramblin' man.

born in the US, been to a few Caribbean islands briefly... haven't been to Hawaii or Alaska

I don't even have a passport. :(

I'm gonna do study abroad as soon as I finish all the classes for which I have to take special sections, though.

Beyond my homeland of the USA, just Mexico. Got a really nice Chinese Checkers board there for an excellent price.

Planning on visiting more in the future, though.

Re: How Many Countries Have You Been To?
hmm...

Finland
Sweden
Estonia
Germany (airplane change on Frankfurt AM en route to Firenze, Italy)
Italy
Greece (Crete to be specific)
Canada
USA (when I was almost two years old, we were on a visit to Canada and went on a tour of Niagara falls and technically spent some time on US side of the border, but I don't know if this counts).
Possibly Netherlands, on the same trip when I was very young - I don't know the details of the travel and don't know if this would count anyway.

Re: How Many Countries Have You Been To?
Canada, US, Dominican Republic.  My wife is from the UK originally, so she's been across virtually all of Western Europe.

I really do envy you Europeans for your travel opportunities.  With the exception of Canada-US-Mexico, travel by North Americans costs a bloody fortune because you're inevitably headed to another continent.

Hell - sometimes I can fly to the UK cheaper than I can to the other side of Canada.

That said, we're planning on a European trip sometime in the next couple years.

Should I mention how much I have paid for my travels? Probably not  :drevil:

How come US travelling is so expensive when the airline companies have been there for the longest?
