PI problems!

Anyone able to tell me what I'm doing wrong?

It's PI 1.03

It doesn't actually seem to matter if I have the pifinal line in there or not, it still crashes before it gets to the character select screen.

Have you tried with the .10 vps ? Also, your pifinal folder is empty, so I guess that's why having it on or off didn't change anything.

I need to re-download them, had some major HDD capacity issues late last year and had to make a choice between the .12 or the .10 vps :p


Edit; The reason I actually posted this was because you said you managed to get it working with the .12 vps btw!

Thanks again Zacam, for anyone wondering, if they have the same problem, the file should go in PI\data\tables

The problem being that the older MediaVPs kept the $Decal entries along FAR longer than they should have.

I'm still examining the construction of PI, because it seems to me that this shouldn't have ever have been an issue to begin with, since the TBM in question that it was horking on was the one provided by PI and that even disregarding the $Decals entries, has a lot more other data in it that it doesn't need if the MediaVPs are also being loaded.

But then, what do I know.

Well, I was using an old un-patched version of the .12 MVPs, that might be why. Or maybe I simply forgot to modify the mod.ini.

That's ignorable and won't break anything, just will be highly annoying.

Same with warnings about "camera.pof" and "unable to find usable sections for bitmap in beam-blah"
