I got some problems with FSO.
Everytime, since I´ve reinstalled the Game (after my PC has crashed), when I start the game and I set the resolution to 1680 x 1050, then it starts only in the 640 x 480 resolution.

I use FSO 3.6.12 INF, Launcher 5.5g, mediavps 3.6.12

You can safely delete that file, it is no longer needed.

How did you install Freespace 2? GOG or Retail Discs? It seems like sparky_hi is corrupted some how and needs to be reinstalled. If you installed from the Retail Discs, check that it is not Damaged (Also, if from Retail Discs, make sure you install the Retail 1.20 Patch). If from GOG, try redownloading or running the install again.

Check the MediaVPs Release Thread. The 'Troubleshooting' section of the first post has filecounts and CRCs that your log should be reporting.

The game may likely be launching at the specified resolution, but it can only display the 640x480 because the sparky_hi (which has the 1024x768 art in it) is not being loaded.

I´ve installed it from the Retail Discs and they don´t look good anymore.

I´ve tried to patch it, but it won´t work. Oh I should better mention that I have the German version.

Now I try to get the file from a friend.

I report back later, when I have the file.
