hello, i was just wondering, im trying to FRED a mission using the blueplanet mod, and i would much love to use the music from "The Blade Itself" but i cant find it in the music selections, is it not there for some reason? or am i just not finding it? please help, thanks

Most of the music in BP is played via play-sound-from-file, only very few tracks are actually tabled up. Open the "Blade Itself" mission to get the filename.

hold on, how would i open the mission file.. do i have to open the vp file? is that possible??

Yes, you can use VPView, but you don't need to open the mission file. Open the music file instead, extract the music to figure out which files you want to use, and use play-sound-from-file on that filename.

The ones you're after are tokyochase2.ogg and imperativa.ogg.
