I have absolutly no clue how to make a campaign. Step-by-step instructions would be greatly apreciated.

Do you mean how to FRED missions, or how to create a campaign file?

You don't, if you need step by step instructions.
Because there aren't step by step instructions for something so vague as "making a campaign".

I mean, you need to have some semblance of a story, ideas for missions, and then have missions...on top of that you may need various assets...
There's no one true workflow, you figure it out for yourself, or you don't do it at all.

Like using the campaign editor that comes with FRED. It's confusing to me.

Oh well, that's straightfoward.
Read the FRED documentation, I think it's there.

Go to Data/Freddocs, open up EDITORS.HTML, read the section on CAMPAIGN.

Maybe someone should put the FredDocs on the wiki, I mean, I found it really helpful when I first picked it up.
Its a bit outdated, but hey, the main interface hasn't changed at all.

Don't put the original docs on the wiki. Start with this version instead.

In fact I suspect I have an even more up to date version I've been working on that I could upload if anyone actually wants to do this.
