Section 8: Prejudice
I picked this up on Steam.  Today's the last day to get it for 10% off its already low price of $15

Anyone care to buddy up and go murdering with me tomorrow?

Either way, my steam ID is Turambar87, as is my GFWL and Xbox Live ID, so feel free to add me as a friend on any/all of those

Re: Section 8: Prejudice
I got this on the 360 a week ago, finished it in 1 sitting.

Nifty game, have yet to go online with it, due to me having recently bought Reach and Homefront xD

Re: Section 8: Prejudice
Got it on 360 too. Love it, hell of a lot better than most shooters on the console right now, but the 360 version has some kinda bug in the netcode that causes constant freezes at random points when playing online. It's a real shame too, I'd love to be able to actually finish a match.

Re: Section 8: Prejudice
No preloading, eh? Mildly annoying, and means I won't be playing it tomorrow. Oh well, Thursday will be fine too. I guess. Maybe.
I will ask that you explain yourself. Please do so with the clear understanding that I may decide I am angry enough to destroy all of you and raze this sickening mausoleum of fraud down to the naked rock it stands on.

Re: Section 8: Prejudice
how does it compare to the first game ?

Re: Section 8: Prejudice
Bigger, more content, better AI, graphics, functionality, all that. The first game was essentially a $60 tech demo for this one. The inclusion of an actual campaign helps it out immensely as well. And theres really nothing as awesome as you and your friends literally crushing the enemy with a mass strategic drop onto a single control point. Great Achievement, that one.

Re: Section 8: Prejudice
Just completed the campaign. Essentially the only thing Crysis 1 has on this is better actors. (And about two more hours to unwind their story.)

You see the last good FPS was...

****, I don't know?

EDIT: The game is compressed, and it feels compressed, but not so much that destroys it like the first one. (Then again I didn't consider the first one bad.) It executes a workmanlike job of level design, as the first did, offers a good number of weapon customization options and a good number of distinguishable weapons, and you can respec on the fly as you could in the first. Combat is slightly faster-paced than the first game as shields have been weakened, but one still receives the impression that you and your opponents are wearing armor and both sides can absorb some fire.

All and all it has most recent games that claim power armor beat to hell in the look-and-feel department, and it is competently executed in gameplay, so I'm convinced my money was spent well enough.

Re: Section 8: Prejudice
It's $15 for a meat-headed shooter that's fairly competently executed. Swarm mode is fun and I imagine if I had 3 friends who had this game (doubtful), it'd be a blast. It's worth the $15 IMO.

Probably not, but if you're spending that much on computers, you should probably start investing in hookers :p

Resolutions get that high? And here I was being all proud of my 1920x1080.  :doubt:

He's got three of them.

'Oi, Davros, Deus Ex: Human Revolution supports insane resolutions like that.

Re: Section 8: Prejudice
I never understood the point of a multi-monitor setup. Probably why I didn't think of it earlier.
