These kind of things will always continue, such people promising Christians about Rapture, and telling them not to be involved, telling them to render unto Caesar, and not worry.
While throughout history Christians were among the most prominent to be attacked and imprisoned, and the whole current Rapture idea is only, what, 150 years old? I sure never learned anything about a pre-judgment Rapture; Heck the only thing that comes close is that the world will be reshapen -after- everything went to hell, not on a sunny day just before the bad guy takes charge of the entire world.
This is why I dislike the influence of some churches, of what they have become, and over what they want their flocks to believe. Sitting around waiting to get teleported out instead of encouraging to go out, protest, that sort of thing.
