People like this just do not make much sense to me. They proclaim the world will end and judgement come, so all need to repent. However, the also believe(per their website) that a certain number of people are alsready saved regardless. So why proclaim judgement day if it will not matter what you do because you are already set?

People like this just drive me insane. They bring about so much reproach on the name of Christ and Christians in general for their own gain.

I can see where you're coming from, but the zombie army gives you the delightful symmetry of turning the means of the apocalypse back on God.  Of course, you could have your cake and eat it too by utilizing the advanced supersoldiers zombies as cannon fodder to clear the way for the zombies advanced supersoldiers.

I've always found it interesting that people believe that Earthquakes symbolise the 'end of life on Earth' when tectonic activity is actually required for life that works on similar lines to our own, because it (often) means the planet is capable of generating a magnetic field.

I think one of the moons of Saturn has 'pseudo' tectonics with frozen and liquid Helium (edit: or Nitrogen, Helium isn't easy to freeze iirc), which is slightly different, but certainly a molten iron core is a good sign when hunting Exoplanets.

Harold Camping may be sincere in his beliefs, but he is sincerely confused. He ignores much of the Bible in making his predictions, such as Mark 13:32-33, where Christ, speaking of the end times, says:

³²But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. ³³Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

The Tribulation is coming, but we don't know when. Could be tomorrow, could not be for another thousand years. We need to be prepared for it whenever it is though.

A Christian group called Prank 3:16 did a rapture prank on this girl that was a little too obsessed with the Left Behind series. It's kind of messed up because they really freaked her out. For the record, a few thousand people escaped from Rome on May 11th because of a supposedly predicted earthquake* which would have destroyed the city. At least now I know that it must have been some weird reinterpretation of this stuff.

*Google "Raffaele Bendandi". He hasn't prophetized anything for May 11th, but there's a suspicious paper written by him with the number "2011" on it.
