So I decided to do a playthrough of the original campaigns with 3.6.12.

Moments ago, I just flew against a Lilith for the first time since the upgrade.


I just about wet myself when I first saw it.

Very nicely done, guys.  Whoever modeled that is a genius at it.
Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill, and every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above, would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky!

Yeah, my OMG moments were in the 1st mission, when the Psamtik jumped in ... I had completely forgotten about the new Hattie, I had seen it on the forum, but I remembered mostly the new cains & lilith. I only came to the forum from time to time back then.
Also, beam piercing effect was a huge surprise. Didn't see that one coming at all.

On the other hand, beams fading after certain distance kinda sucked, had to remove that >: D

Hey, some good came out of it; beam fading forced me to learn how to use tables to fix some of my missions.

We patched that, btw. If you have the MV_Effects.3612.vp, no more beam fade. Course, the other two .3612.vp file are a good idea too.

The Cain and Lilith were modeled by C914 (I think that's the correct arrangement of numbers) and converted/finished by RGANoris.

However, if you think 3.6.12 was something, you're really going to love our next mediavp release. In fact it'll likely be our largest yet!

I came into this thread expecting George Takei. Slight Disappoint.

OTOH, All the new Mediavp models kick inordinate amounts of ass, the Cain/Lilith especially.

What did I miss?
You missed the Hades, Boanerges, Poseidon, the Ankh, possibly the Hermes, possibly the NTF installation (made by ragingloli, and we have the mesh), the Knossos, possibly the Argo, possibly the Hippocrates, and very unlikely but a small, very dim possibility of me continuing work on the Deimos for it to be finished and included. Very unlikely, though.
