I'm glad you guys had a good time.

I don't agree with Battuta's sentiment at all, but I will say that the reason I didn't really consider going to this was that I don't feel like I know most of you all that well.  I mean, you're (generally) really cool people, and I've been hanging out here posting with you for years, but from a personal standpoint, I'd classify you as "acquaintances."  It'd sort of feel weird for me to meet up with people at that level in real life, as opposed to certain other people I know online who I've been talking to at length for years about all sorts of personal stuff and would call genuine friends.  It's nothing personal at all, just a comfort level thing.

This is how I felt when I first met Galemp in Philadelphia, but it helped that I had already been collaborating with him for several years on FSPort.  It also helps if there's something specifically planned -- we met for the purpose of exchanging Lego sets, and we also went to Pat's and Geno's and some dumb art museum.
