I'd wager many of you were wondering if I'd forgotten.... do I ever leave this for good?  :pimp: Fear not, HLP's fearless paladin draws ever nearer to her ultimate goal of saving Ancardia! In fact, I'd wager that I could pull off a win in just a few more sessions! Of course, there's this session to get through- so with no (a little) further ado, I present Part 5! I actually forgot about screencaps for a little bit after starting up. Oh, well. So, here's what happened: I went down a few levels, ran across an Eternal Guardian who let me pass because I held the Ring of the High Kings, and I found myself in the Casino (pictured above). Ok, the casino is certainly an eyeful, but I can explain pretty easily- all the dollar signs on the left side are slot machines, I'll get back to those in a bit, and all this stuff to the right is the Gift Shop. Everything is WAY overpriced, but there is some good stuff in there, including a halberd for about 1.4 million gold. Even with such an inflated price tag, I'm very confident that the halberd is an epic artifact, but how am I going to carry, much less get, that much gold?

It's quite simple, really- we just abuse the slot machines! There's a psuedo-exploit in the Casino where you can win, statistically, ****loads of gold. Basically, the payouts are multiplicative based on what you pay to play- the highest stake machines will give back about 150x what you pay per win... and you'll definitely win more than 1/150 times. Basically, I find a machine with a high wager (~25 gold), 'h'andle the machine, and hold spacebar while hundreds of messages flash past. Eventually, a huge pile of gold will form at Lorna's feet... far more than she could carry unaided; further, she'll be really hungry and loopy from the lack of food (the Stun is unique to this situation). The carrying problem can be solved with a blessed Girdle of Greed, which will effectively reduce the weight of gold to a mere fraction; hunger can be solved by simply eating, and the stun can be solved by a quick prayer.
An interesting behavior of the slots is that no game time passes while spacebar is held down by a rock/paperwieght/stuffed penguin/whatever... which is really good, since the Casino has a higher-than-normal rate of background corruption. So, with her pockets full of delicious, filthy lucre, Lorna hurries into the shop to claim her (hopefully) kickass weapon... but not before sprouting a few extra eyes!  :shaking:

Wheee! My instincts were right! The "Wyrmlance" will always land a critical hit on dragons, which is certain to come in handy at least once, which will be a little later on.

Mwahahahaa! Or, perhaps it'll come in handy right on the next level! Blue Dragon vault- who wants their stabbing first!?

Big, nasty, Great Wyrm. So mean, so angry, so utterly doomed.

A good bit of time passes between the prior image and this one. Basically, I had Lorna move her homebase (aka big pile of equipment and items she doesn't need right now) to the dungeon just above Darkforge. After passing the Eternal Guardian, a shortcut into the fairly deep Caverns of Chaos opens up in Darkforge, so we want to minimize travel somewhat.

O noes! This is the Battle Bunny level. Essentially there's a lot of really nasty bunnies (think Monty Python & The Holy Grail) that can replicate like... well... bunnies. The floor's organization forces Lorna to take the long way around while the bunnies are busy breeding up a horde. Fortunately, I know a way to circumvent the distance and make this level hella-easy. Simply dig straight south with a wand of Digging! Doing so puts our protagonist right in the grill of Bugs, the Bunny Master (yes, that's his real name). Application of spear to Bugs' face prevents the remaining bunnies from breeding, and they are mopped up easily.

Oooooh. BIG vault level! Big vaults mean big numbers of enemies (XP) and lots of lewt, with improved odds of good drops! Onward!

 Oh, you've got to be ****ing KIDDING ME! Every one of those enemies is some flavor of Karmic Dragon. Karmic enemies will make you unlucky if you strike them in melee, and Karmic Dragons can breathe any type of magical energy. Oh, and the only energy bolt they're vulnerable to is humble old Magic Missile. Ranged attacks will work too, but I don't have nearly enough ammo to kill them all, and I don't have many castings of Magic Missile left. This vault's gonna have to wait.

And by the way, with one of my other victorious characters, this exact scenario happened also! Greater Vault full of Karmic Dragons! My solution then? ****loads of Magic Missile with some Dragon Slaying arrows thrown in for good measure. Still took me several hours. I've got a unique plan for this vault, but it's gonna be a pain as well. Hence, bypass for now.

Ah, hello there, Mr. Cat Lord. What's that? I managed the difficult and annoying task of not killing any cats this far into the game? Why, yes, I'd like pretty much the best artifact ring in the game! The Cat lord grants unto Lorna the epic Ring of the Master Cat, which has several potent effects. The most significant effects are: a huge boost to Dex, the ability to see invisible things, and an improved crit rate! Groovy! ....and I forget to put it on for some silly-ass reason.

Yo dawg, I heard you like summons, so I let your summoners summon summoners, so you can summon summoners while you're summoning more summons. (whew) Yeah, perhaps the absolute most annoying monsters in the game are those that summon monsters that can summon yet more monsters. Like, in this example, there's a pack of Werewolf Kings (actually quite potent in their own right, more so than Great Wyrms!)- I threaten the Werewolf Kings, they summon Werewolf Lords. Werewolf Lords summon regular Werewolves, who summon packs of regular wolves. Attention, pilots! Fun times inbound! ...except not. This one room took me many minutes to clear; I don't even remember how long it was, but my eyes were about to cross IRL after all the focus that sniping the Kings with bolt spells took.

Ahhhh. Here we go. This level houses the Elemental Temple of Air, which will be Lorna's third conquered temple. Notice the door-box above and to the right of Lorna: she's stashed any useful but fragile gear in there so it won't get ruined during the fight.

This screencap doesn't show it, but the Air Temple proper is charged with electricity. Lorna's getting hit with some lightning bolts basically every step. Naturally, the entire outer ring was chock-full of chaos monsters, but now they're naught but bad memories as Lorna turns to face the Air Orb guardian...

...Yulgash, the Master Summoner! The name pretty much says it all, Yulgash is hilariously weak in melee combat, and his only magical skill is to summon the occasional pack of totally random monsters. Since there are so many monsters in ADOM that are pretty much cannon fodder for Lorna now, the odds of him nabbing something good are....
...wait. That asshole just summoned a pack of Karmic Dragons. Yeah, remember those losers? They're far more annoying than dangerous, but with most of her good ranged gear locked up safe in the Doorbox of Protection, Lorna is reduced to killing the Dragons with thrown rocks (secretly epic!). Summoning a pack of annoying Dragons was pretty much Yulgash's only trick, since he fell swiftly to Lorna's asskickery.

That's 3 for 5 orbs now, and Lorna's picked up corruption #4- tough, scaly skin. And she's still above-average on Appearance!  Let's recap her corruptions, shall we? Lorna's got: antennae, a freakishly thin build, a total of 12 eyes, and now scaly armor-skin. Yes, corruptions are bad... in the long run, or if she starts getting absolutely walloped with corruption, but more immediately, all the listed corruptions make her more powerful... at the cost of Appearance, which is pretty useless anyways. There are some objectively bad corruptions, but since which one is next in line is randomized, Lorna might be able to dodge any problems for quite some time.

That's it for now.... but, the chewy caramel of the epic endgame draws near, and the Tazoon Theme from AoA just came up on my iTunes rotation. Awesome (actually not awesome- I've lost several promising characters while listening to that tune! Listen for yourself- doesn't it sound like a dirge for an epic hero!?) Anyhow, until next time! ...which hopefully will be in less than 3 weeks, heheheh.

Ok, first off, I gotta say that I meant to get to this a lot sooner, but I was out of town (and away from my main computer) for 2 weeks at the end of August. That plus summer school finals meant no time for the epic ADOM adventures.... until now. This post represents quite a bit of gametime, but I tried to balance the number of pictures (post size) versus epic moments.

First order of business is to finish off a quest from a lot earlier. We head back up to the surface to pay a visit to the Old Barbarian once again.

Lorna's now accumulated an additional 20 of her first-kill monster (Goblin Rockthrowers, remember? No, you don't- it's been more than a month!) Anyhow, for meeting his quest conditions, the Old Barbarian teaches Lorna "something about Courage", which grants her an extra skill.... wait for it- Courage. This new skill reduces penalties against to-hit and to-damage when outnumbered and surrounded... which is about 75% of all melee combat in ADOM. Cool!

And while we're still on the surface getting some sun, I have Lorna take a swim, eventually finding the Water Dragon Cave. The entrance spawns on a random tile of water on the overworld. This seems super-random, but stick with me for now. We go into the cave...

...and say "hi" to one of only a few nonhostile Dragons in the entire game. Shyrix.... forget it, the Water Dragon is looking for her baby. Baby water dragon... baby water dragon... Hey! There's one in the starter town of Terinyo! Maybe he's the missing dragon baby!

Sho' nuff. This seemingly random sidequest sets in motion events that will result in Lorna scoring a pretty slick artifact Trident.... once she gains a few more levels.

NEXT! We head back West to the Rift, which is exactly what is sounds like- a bigass rift in the earth. Unfortunately, screencaps are sparse here, so you'll have to bear with me for a moment of TL;DR-ness. One does not simply "shift+." into the Rift, more often than not, you simply slip and fall to the bottom, invariably smashing just about every potion on your person. In one of the few truly dumb things I've done this game, I did exactly that- failed to drop off any potions I might want for later, like Holy Water or Potions of Extra/Ultra Healing. So, about 80% of all my potions got smashed, including ALL my Holy Water. DAMNIT!

Anyhow, it's not a crippling mistake, but it is annoying to not have Holy Water. The Rift is a rather boring dungeon aside from the requirements to get in (maxed Climbing skill, high-ish level, climbing set, maybe some others), and is basically only a way to get to the Sinister Library of Niltrias.

Before anybody asks, I derped out again and didn't get a screencap of the Sinister Library, but it's a pretty cool place. First, there are a lot of scrolls and spellbooks, all of them guarded by reasonably powerful monsters (one per item). In fact, I am told that Wizards (not spellcasters in general, only that class) have the privilege of finding a copy of EVERY SINGLE SPELLBOOK IN THE GAME (this includes chuckle****ing WISH!) within the Sinister Library's archives. Lorna's a Paladin, and quite obviously not a Wizard, so she doesn't score quite as epic a haul, "merely" Rain of Sorrow (Acid Ball) and a handful of other spells.

There is a nonhostile NPC within the Library, the Ghost Librarian, who is supposed to give a special tome to characters who have maxed Stealth skill and spend 2000 game turns without 'C'hatting to monsters. Didn't work for me for some reason, so Lorna moves on.

Just preparing to finish off a Vault full of Karmic monsters that I promised to save for later.

Return to the Vault with a Metric Assload (technical term) of rocks and arrows to kill those smug Karmic bastards without incurring more bad luck than a mirror factory bomber.

Bah. Karmic Wyrms die just as easily as any other Great Dragon, and it's actually quite entertaining to kill them with simple sling+rocks.... before the tedium of ranged combat sets in, that is.

Sweet evil Anssaria, that took a really, really long time. Totally worth it, though- Lorna's put on another 7 character levels... to say nothing of the loot and spell skill she also picked up. I, on the other hand, am still surprised that a Greater Vault full of Karmic bull**** could happen again. My strategy turned out to be the same for both characters who faced this irritating challenge: focus primarily on ranged attacks, whatever's handy (pray for dragon-slaying arrows), and use spells when able to line up multiple hits (Magic Missile and Death Ray are the only useful offensive spells against Karmic Dragons). This Vault took a really long time to clear; the pictures don't convey that fact, but about 80% of the enemies in there had to be killed mostly with ranged attacks. But it is finally done!

On my way back to base camp to drop off stuff Lorna might need later, we decided that it was time for the Dwarven Chaos Artificer to die. Kherab didn't put up too much of a fight, especially once he got Slowed to uselessness. His drops are basically a Smithing "starter kit", which is of no use to our hard-core protagonist, so Lorna simply takes the XP and rolls on!

Another Vault? Why yes, I would like improved odds at kickass loot and more wads of walking XP to cash in on!

Dragons, Blacks this time. Just be ready for Acid shenanigans, get out Wyrmslayer if need be, (yawn).

Ok, the Earth Temple awaits. Lorna takes a mere couple steps and gets a message about a "certain tension".... huh, boy. That could be problematic- let's see what a Wand of Monster Detection can reveal...

Oh, dear. Turns out that all the "G"s to the left of the screen are mere Ghosts. Not Ghost Lords, or Kings, or Head**** Statmunchers, but simple Ghosts. Lorna brandishes the undead-slaying Justifier sword, and hilariously one-shots pretty much every Ghost there before moving into the Earth Temple proper.

Bollocks. I forgot yet another thing- the description page for the Ancient Stone Beast. Bah. Eh, the game basically describes him as an ancient and mighty earth elemental.

He went down in five hits from Lorna once he got slowed. The Ancient Stone Beast never got to strike back. Turns out he had the "demon" type, and was thus hilariously vulnerable to Justifier, which is also a Demon slayer. Earth Orb get!

Sharad-Wador is the only other dragon I know of who doesn't start as hostile. He offers a short but intense sidequest to defeat his mortal nemesis, the Ancient Blue Wyrm Skraxxis....something. Once Lorna accepts his quest, Sharad-Wador insists she move IMMEDIATELY to defeat his foe. Lorna obliges, after leaving fragile/important items on the stairs, so they won't get blasted by Blue Dragon lighting breath.

"Don't let his gruff exterior scare you, he's actually a big softie." I exaggerate, of course. It would be more accurate to say that he's one of a swiftly-dwindling number of foes that can truly threaten our now-godlike Paladin.

Wyrmlance proves its worth once again, and with the aid of Slow Monster, Lorna scores yet another Epic Dragon head.

Trot back up to the only Karmic Dragon that doesn't fill Lorna with psychotic rage, and score a big pile of loot. Lorna now meets the requirements to engage on the final and ultimate sidequest in ADOM, the hunt for the legendary Trident of the Red Rooster! As narrator, I will conscientiously opt to neglect certain details of esoteric gameplay. Here's one such moment. Lorna has, in her possession, a certain reward from Sharad-Wador that enables the Trident sidequest, in addition to knowing some bits of information from MUCH earlier in the game that even make the sidequest possible.

Naturally, my coyness is only so dramatically effective, since very detailed guides can easily be found that would spoil everything. However, it's my LP, so I'll choose to leave a few things mysterious here.

As a closer, I present the status of Lorna's Chaotic corruptions. She's still far from a Corruption Death, but the pool of benign/useful-only corruptions is getting smaller and smaller. Furthermore, Lorna has been adventuring for more than 90 days: once the 90-day mark passes, any areas with background corruption twist your character at DOUBLE the rate! Lorna is near the end of her journey, but she yet faces her most fearsome obstacles: demons and fiends of all descriptions, lesser heroes fallen to the forces of Chaos, and increasingly, her own body...

This is it. The final showdown approaches, and Lorna has only one thing left to do before confronting ChAoS itself on their home turf!
(Danger! Long post ahead!)

That one side thing would be to complete the sidequest for the Trident of the Red Rooster and claim the mightiest single weapon in all of ADOM! Once the Ancient Karmic Wyrm Sharad-Wador is happy with the outcome of his assigned quest, Lorna is permitted to continue the questline. Pop back up to the surface once more to visit a remarkably "boring" cave. Seriously, are these sorts of dungeons EVER simply boring?

Sweet. A spellbook shop spawned on the first dungeon floor, and the owner doesn't hate Dark Elves! Lorna takes the opportunity to load up on killer spells, and after application of a mere few thousand gold, can cast lethal Lightning Bolt and Fire Ball like a pro.

Second-to-bottom floor is rather interesting; the downstairs are not directly connected to the rest of the dungeon level, and the stairs themselves are a teleportation trap! The down stairs cannot be traversed unless the PC is "attuned" to the level. Easiest way to get attuned is to simply hit teleportation traps deliberately a few dozen times.

Bottom level of the Unremarkable Cave is anything but; we are looking at none other than the Assassin Guild! While basically all the mobs within are laughable nonthreats, some discretion is still needed, thus the sneaky invisibility shenanigans.

The whole objective of the stealthiness is to get to the Assassin Prince without making him go hostile. For obvious reasons, hostile entities don't really like to give out quests.

He offers Lorna a job on behalf of the Mad Minstrel. The target's location is based on Lorna's first kill- she is to kill a Quickling Bard hiding out in the Infinite Dungeon. Mercifully, ADOM can track how many of which monster a PC has killed, so figuring out the dungeon-dive's difficulty is easy. Lorna's first kill was a Goblin Rockthrower, and she has vanquished about 29 of them at this point... 29 floors in the Infinite Dungeon's pretty easy- let's get to it!

Over to the Infinite Dungeon the mighty Lorna goes.

Flip horrorshow! Whirlwind has always been one of my favorite artifacts- slings seldom lack for ammunition (rocks are crazy common), and Lorna's quite the slingmistress after killing about a hundred Karmic Dragons solely with one. Oh, also, artifact indestructibility is really nice too.

Mostly by my inattention, Lorna's killed a couple extra Goblin Rockthrowers, but 2 extra floors is not a challenge at all. By the way, here's the target.

Detailed information. Take a good look at Filk's speed. For reference, Lorna's speed is about 130, tops. AKA this means Filk will get to move about 10 whole moves per move Lorna takes. Obviously he's gonna be really hard to hit.

Except not. Lorna simply waltzed up to him and summoned an Acid Ball around herself, melting the spoony Bard out of existence in one move. Time now to report Filk's demise to the Mad Minstrel, who technically contracted Lorna for the job.

The Mad Minstrel reveals (albeit cryptically) the location of the Scintillating Cave, a dungeon that exists at least partially within the realms of Chaos itself! This shall be a challenge indeed.

Lorna steadies herself to move through the Scintillating Cave with all haste. Mighty though she is, the Cave is hideously dangerous and cursed with a very high background corruption rate. Speed shall be absolutely essential.

Ok, when the forces of Chaos are strong enough to make solid stone glow in crazy, shifting rainbow colors, you know a mere mortal should step lightly. This is by far the most corrupting area Lorna's yet faced- we're talking like "pick up a new corruption in 100 moves" corrupting!

Wand of Monster Detection + Teleportation puts Lorna right in the Emperor Moloch's grill... just as soon as she can clear away these mere giants.

Fear. The Emperor Moloch is easily the nastiest boss our hero has (and may remain) yet faced. He's slow as hell, but tougher than a planet and hits like a freight train full of hatred.

(whew) That's one hell of a relief. This screencap doesn't really show it, but this fight was nearly Lorna's last. Lorna opened up with Demon-slaying bullets and arrows, which inflicted grievous wounds on the Emperor Moloch, but the diehard sunnuva***** wasn't nearly done. Fighting down the heartstopping terror that desperately wanted out, Lorna brandishes her holy Justifier, the mighty Demon-slaying blade gifted from Anssaria herself!

Charging into melee range, Lorna inflicted a series of skillful and deeply cutting strikes upon the foul Chaosspawn. The Emperor Moloch chuckled, then landed a savage critical hit that left Lorna at a disbelieving 1 HP!! Good sense momentarily overcame our Paladin, and she short-Teleported back a few squares to call for Anssaria's aid. Revitalized and calmed by her Goddess' power, Lorna calmly turns to face the Emperor Moloch once more. A massive fist crashes thunderously where Lorna stood a mere instant prior; graceful footfalls race up the ponderous and impossible massive arm; loosing a fearsome holy battlecry, Lorna drives Justifier into the Moloch's mockery of a face; a seismic shudder wracks the Moloch's form as it falls like an avalanche; the Moloch Emperor is dead,  long live the Paladin!

When the dust settles, Lorna searches the Moloch's mountainlike corpse for a small and dirty scroll. Surely this pitiful parchment cannot be the supposed Scroll of Omnipotence, can it? Indeed it is not, yet it is far more precious than even the Emperor Moloch's personal armor (weighing in at a colossal 15k stones!). Lorna runs like hell out of the Scintillating Cave, before the intense Chaotic presence therein can impose more than 2 additional corruptions upon her. Safely (for now) back on the surface, Lorna races back to the hamlet of Terinyo to visit an old friend, the sage Khelvaster. No longer a dying roadblock, Khelvaster is very much well, and when presented the scroll from the Emperor Moloch, he begins an ancient and powerful ritual...

Back to the Caverns of Chaos for one final descent. Lorna enters the Mana Temple, her goal: liberation of the final Elemental Orb!

Farsight + Wand of Trap Detection solves the bull**** around the main Temple chamber, but the Temple can only be entered at the very square where Lorna went in.

Nuurag-Varn, the Chaos Archmage. He is the last orb guardian left standing, and his time to die has arrived!

He was one tough bastard. No, Lorna did NOT spend 800 PP's worth of spells- there are a lot of monsters in the main chamber that eat PP faster than fat kids and candy. Adding to the fun, about half the monsters are Chaos Wizards, who can summon large numbers of annoying/dangerous Chaos monsters per pass. Nuurag-Varn is a summoner as well, but Lorna knew his weakness: what little remained of his humanity. Once the hideous and twisted Archmage moved to fight Lorna directly, she feathered him up with some Humanoid-slaying arrows. Oh, she also jumped straight to level 50 (max level), and unlocked her final class power, a 30% reduction in corruption received! Awesome!

The time has come to part with the Chaos Orbs. They may be useful, but so long as they exist in Ancardia, nature will never be whole. Lorna chucks each Orb into its corresponding Elemental Anomaly, and the stairs at the lower left switch to become downstairs. There can be no retreat now. Lorna is now absolutely committed to facing the final horrors of the Caverns of Chaos, either to win or to die.

Surprise! Before the epic showdown, ADOM throws one last annoyance our way, the Frictionless Ice. The only way to move is by the reaction of throwing stuff, since the ice is too slick to properly walk on.

One thing Lorna has on hand is an aptly-named Potion of Uselessness. Heaving it with all her might, a divine voice booms within her head. The gods decided that Lorna deserves an artifact for finding a use for a Potion of Uselessness! In this case, Lorna gets the Robes of Resistance, which are pretty much the best armor in the game. Thanks, guys!

This is it. The Chaos Gate resides on this level, and Lorna's hellbent on closing it. Easiest way to ensure closing goes properly? Kill the everliving **** out of anything that moves down here!

Quite literally, the entire left half of the map is solid monsters. Come get some!

Lorna does a lot of work with the gratuitously powerful Trident and high-powered Bolt spells, but when the Balors start teleporting in to take her down, our clever Paladin readies a nifty trick. Companions/Slaves cannot cross the stairs on Floor 48.... but nobody said anything about summoning them once at Floor 50! Lorna reads a Scroll of Familiar Summoning to bring out a Greater Earth Elemental, and uses a Figurine to summon a friendly Chaos Knight. We stand as one!

At last, we meet. Fistinarius the Greater Balor is essentially the Final Boss of ADOM, but he's a colossal wuss compared to the Emperor Moloch. Lorna takes him down with the usual combination of Demon-slaying ammo and stabbification from the ridiculous Trident.

Lorna's summoned companions sell themselves dearly while Lorna gives Fistinarius a good old face-fisting. We shall never forget her mighty Earth Elemental companion, nor the Chaos Knight who redeemed her twisted soul during the final battle.

The "8" at the left end of the chamber is the ChAoS Gate, the very source of Ancardia's problems. Lorna's only business in this evil chamber is to slaughter any remaining Chaos creatures within.

See, the real fun is in the side chambers. Each room holds a lever, both levers must be thrown to close the Gate and end Chaos' invasion. Technically, the levers need only be thrown; Lorna could leave once the levers are in place without clearing the floor, but that solution is for the weak! DIE, CHAOSSPAWN! IN ANSSARIA'S NAME!!

(The cheesy method works because floors are static when the PC is not present there. Hell, if you're good enough, you could throw both levers and leave without killing anything! But that feels really contrary to the "heroic" vibe present at the bottom here, so I'll never even consider it!)

...aaaand, that's it! The Gate is closed! All background corruption has ceased, and a Wand of Monster Detection reveals no other living things on the level! Lorna is victorious!!

...but at what cost? :( Lorna sustained some more corruption during the final battle; while her soul remains her own, her body is a horrifically warped and mutated horror of its prior lithe and pretty Elven self. Well, there's nothing left here. Lorna departs, racking her now-more-than-slightly diseased mind for any possible salvation.

During her long journey back to the surface, Lorna remembers the Druid in Terinyo telling her about a powerful Unicorn residing in the forest. Knowing that Unicorns are potent beings of Law and Healing, Lorna heads to its grove with hope in her hearts. (Not a typo. Chaos is a Hell of a drug.)

Unsurprisingly, the White Unicorn wants us to kill something, specifically her evil twin forged from her own life essence by Chaos' powers. Sounds like lots of fun after hordes of Chaos mutants, legions of demons, and the hardcore Emperor of all Molochs.

Feh. "Not impressed"/10

Easy fight was easy, and Lorna's hope is indeed rewarded! Full cleansing? PLEASE YES!

The Unicorn gently touches Lorna with her horn, and a strange feeling wells within Lorna's warped body...

...She drops to her knees with a violent shudder as Chaos' handiwork is undone! Lorna's features regain their original Elven grace, her ugly thorns recede into normal skin, her body partially resumes normal proportions, her cranium resumes normal size, no longer shall Lorna drain innocent magic wands, her tissue loses a vile and unnatural vigor, her breath no longer stinks like vitriolic acids, tranquility enters her mind as a henceforth normal rage recedes, former hooves return to ordinary feet, vile poisons cease dripping from Lorna's hands, ugly and chitinous scales slough off to reveal smooth and fresh dark skin, her extra eyes close forever, Lorna's body fully returns to its ordinary mass, and the antennae so long with her finally recede. Lorna is freed from Chaos' taint!

Her quest complete, and her soul and body at long last fully her own once more, Lorna departs the Drakalor chain for parts unknown.

Height: 5'4"              Weight: 97 pounds         Scars: 3

Your parents are travelling adventurers. Both are competent,
 talented and doing very well.
As a child your parents cared a lot for you. Despite all
circumstances you enjoyed a happy and fine childhood.
As a youth you spent a lot of time in the wilds exploring woods and
generally enjoying your freedom. You had a lot of fun and learned to value
 the treasures of nature.
As a young adult you left your home because of trouble with your
parents. They opposed your plans for the future without understanding your
wishes. Thus you decided to live on your own. You wandered through the
country for many years, growing older and wiser and learning many things.

Re: Let's Play... some ADOM! - WON ON 9/4!!!
Many thanks for the wonderful LP. Old-fashioned RPGs like this tend to have great stories and puzzles, and this one did not fail to deliver.

"trolls are clearly social rejects and therefore should be isolated from society, or perhaps impaled."

"Look on the bright side, how many release dates have been given for Doomsday, and it still isn't out yet.

It's the Duke Nukem Forever of prophecies..."

"Jesus saves.

Everyone else takes normal damage.

"pirating software is a lesser evil than stealing but its still evil. but since i pride myself for being evil, almost anything is fair game."

"i never understood why women get the creeps so ****ing easily. i mean most serial killers act perfectly normal, until they kill you."
