Shock tactics like these have their place, and that is to get a movement started, wake the public up to the fact that an issue they have ignored for so long needs dealing with.
Feminism has moved beyond that stage, indeed as previously commented here we are at the stage where these kinds of comments are counter-productive and discriminatory against men, though she is also by association attacking the women serving by blanketing targeting the forces. Womens equality, certainly in the UK, has gotten to the point that there are laws preventing certain discriminations, women not only have the vote but can also stand and have been elected to the highest political office in the land, women are also successful business owners. If Feminism is not moving in the direction or at the pace she wants she needs to be talking directly to the MPs (men and women) and pushing for change.
Her attack against fathers and daughters kissing good night is similarly flawed. As a farther to a 3yr old girl our kiss cuddles good night is no more sexualised than my wife and her son kissing good night. It affirms family bonds and the love that holds the family together no more, no less.
Tbh Greer is more of a liability to everyone involved, time to stop inviting her for her comments and find someone who is actually in touch with contemporary feminist issues so they have something intelligent to say when they are asked for their views.
