I just built my new computer.

I'd call this setup borderline magnificent. Unfortunately, there is a minor problem. I have purposely set up the 3 Mushkins as operating system only. I have repositioned everything from C to D, such as all of the Documents and Settings, etc.

I'm getting an error when I try to open the launcher.

"The launcher must be in the same directory as the binary you are trying to use."

Then I get into the launcher and I can select fs2_open_3_6_12r_INF, and select BluePlanet mod.

I'm not sure, but I THINK that there's something, somewhere, that I need to find and alter to the directory everything is now that isn't default.

Current Directory is

D:\Program Files (x86)\FS2Open

I have a feeling that needs changed somehow.

Please read the FAQ stickied here. Use the information there to find and post the fs2_open.log. Without that, we can't really help you.

3) You haven't installed FreeSpace 2 at all.  (Note that installing FreeSpace Open does NOT remove the need for a FreeSpace 2 installation.)
Number 1 can be fixed by simply moving the FreeSpace Open executable file to the FreeSInt3(): From c:\temp\fs2_final_export\code\globalincs\windebug.cpp at line 1155

I can't believe I missed that.

Ok, so my FS2 files are here:

D:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Freespace 2

and my FS2Open is here:

D:\Program Files (x86)\FS2Open


Do I just .... move my FS2 folder over? (I'm amazed I've managed to do this whole installation process without error before)

A cut-paste into either direction will suffice. I think I'd personally move anything in \GOG.com\freespace2\ to \FS2Open\ .

Alright, I have another problem.

I'm running a Saitek Cyborg X.
The Axis will not calibrate.

I've found nothing online to help with this problem. Even with the calibration tool it won't move from the top. It just stays there regardless of moving the stick around. In game I do nothing but tilt straight down.

When I was running FS2Open on my Laptop [HP2740p Elitebook] a few months ago, it worked just fine. The only real difference is that this computer is running Win7Ultx64 and my Laptop runs Win7Prox64.

edit: After two hours on hold with MadCatz/Saitek they are apparently replacing my Cyborg. Someone feel free to close this thread. :)

That is not even close to a fatal bug or error. Just don't run debug unless you are actually debugging.
