I don't like the look of it......

Feels blargh. Prey 1 was all about "ooohhhh aliens are alien" this feels like a western crossed with star wars episode 1.


All based on preview footage, granted, but ..... Meh.

i liked prey for its portals and bizarre gravity effects, if they removed those the game would be less fun.

I saw a speedrun of the original Prey. It looks like a pretty good game, actually.

Prey 2 appears to have some link with the original, but it seems pretty weak at best.

first prey delt with indians, this prey, its about cowboys. so there will be a meetup between the new characters and the old characters.

Tbh that's a good thing. I tried the original Prey. It does indeed seem good at first. But after a while I got really bored of the ever-so-identical environment I was in, the same types of problems at all times, and generally linear and repetitive gameplay. It wasn't as bad as FEAR 1 in that regard, but it wasn't that far either.
This one seems promising and the move to open ended gameplay is a rather radical move. We'll see how it turns out but frankly if I've been hearing things like "it's just like the original only better" I wouldn't even be interested at all. This way there's at least the possibility this game might turn out interesting.

I really liked that totally strange real-life teaser they made. (to be seen here)
I expect it to be a mixture of a straight shooter and some S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or Metro 2033 Content... actually I guess it'll be some Metro 2033 in outer space. No such bad thing if I think about it.
