Need Help With TortoiseSVN
I have a need to get this piece of software working, but the procedure I have been given doesn't seem to be working for me.  From what I've been told, I have to download and install the program, after which time I should be able to right-click on the fresh directory that I want to use (in Windows Explorer) and have the option "SVN Checkout" come up, but nothing related to the program comes up in the options list.  Are there changes that I have to make in the program's settings?  Is this a Windows 7-64bit issue?  Any help would be.... helpful...

Thanks.

Re: Need Help With TortoiseSVN
Are you following this guide?

It mentions a hotfix for Win7, and a reboot after the install...
Creating a fs2_open.log | Red Alert Bug = Hex Edit | MediaVPs 2014: Bigger HUD gauges | 32bit libs for 64bit Ubuntu

Debian Packages (testing/unstable): Freespace2 | wxLauncher

Re: Need Help With TortoiseSVN
It wasn't that exact guide, but the steps that I'm working from are the same at least up to my current stage.  Yes, I did reboot right after install.  That hotfix referenced might be able to solve the issue, but the link goes to a "page not found" page... so my situation is unchanged.  Anyone have this file?

Hmm, I had this when updating from a previous version of Tortoise... Try doing a repair install.

I've been working with Tortoise SVN and Tortoise GIT at work for about 2 years now, so let me know if you have any questions!

@LoneKnight: wha? I tried to do that, but when I installed TortoiseGIT, it got rid of the icons for TortoiseSVN

Re: Need Help With TortoiseSVN
Tortoise GIT and Tortoise SVN are two completely seperate things. You can have both of them installed at once. They will not overwrite each other or remove one another. Note that in order to work with Tortoise Git, you also need Git installed. Both Tortoise GIT and SVN have instructions for properly installing them.

Also, do you know the Repository url? PM me in the future.

No change after repair.  I'm gonna try the 64-bit version.

[Edit]It seems that the 64-bit version solved it![/Edit]

TBH, I am very surprised you didn't have a very crashy windows after putting in a 32-bit shell extension on a 64-bit windows.
