from what I can see it looks nice (but i cant see much because the uni monitors suck)

Reminds me a bit of those fighters in Wing Commander The Movie. But don't get me wrong, these are MILLIONS of times better! I mean ,they are SWEET! I love bulky type of fighters, casue they just scream BAD ASS! Great work! :yes: :D

Nice fighters a cross between the WC movie ones and the ones in that Warhammer 40k Gothic game (/me looks up name) thunderbolt.

yeah, the model is mine.
The hull map comes from 3dsMax, the others are procedural.
An0n: whoa, can't believe someone think outerspace would be inspired from innerspace :rolleyes:
after some searches, I've found out inner space is the english name for that movie about a dude micronized and injected into another dude, right? french title would be translated with "the inner adventure". Couldn't know, sorry, I don't care anyway.
dark 4ce: yeah, my design existed before the WC movie, but when I saw pics of the rapier ( I think it's the name ), i thought they were somehow similar and I modified a bit my ship.

The thunderbolt? Check again :) only thing i could see that are similar is the big metallic cockpit a la WW2, maybe.

I have a couple old Outerspace pofs, but not this one, sorry :p
would be no match even for an apollo anyway, no shields, mostly ammo based weaons, handles like a Iwar ship ( Newtonian physics, no G-well or stuff like that ).
Btw, with the weapons, polycount is for now about 31000. I still have to make the interior of the "mouth" and the interior of the cockpit. Hierarchy is done, the engines and the canopy rotate and all that stuff.

Ive been searching the net for the last hour!

All i can find is the new forgeworld one, one White Dwarf had an excelent diorama of it in a hanger shame there are no diorama fan pages......

Very nice, they do look like the Rapiers from the Wing Commander Movie;)

I don't know about WC :doh: , but it's still very good. The nebula is different, suns look good, and ships are detailed with good lightning. :yes2::nod::yes:
