Can't really think of anything except for something rather broad in kids cartoons. I think it's bad ass the few kids cartoons that actually feature the good and bad guys using actual guns instead of that incredibly stupid laser gun crap common in kids cartoons of the 90's. Xmen the animated series, gargoyles, teenage mutant ninja turtles, etc were famous for the laser guns that don't have any hope of maiming (let alone killing). In the end it just made no sense why the good guys feared bad guys with laser guns.

Tvtropes covers this pretty good. What's awkward is that tailspin had bad guys with actual guns (hell, a bad guy in a boat racing through the water has a revolver in the intro).
