The silence of the media regarding Iceland is deafening.
Iceland has actually already recovered from the recession, and are doing quite well. For some reason nobody wants to mention that this was all against EU, IMF and whatever wishes that Iceland should pay the debt. Surprisingly, it turned out that if you have something that somebody else needs, even recent history of not paying the bank debts doesn't matter, if they want it bad enough.
The government of Iceland has put on international warrants of the leader boards of the three banks and required them to report their wealth within 48 hours. It will be interesting to see what sort of things prosecution comes up with. So far the bankers' responses have been of the line "You can't do that here!"
