Re: Back to Sweden you go, Assange
His extradition has nothing to do on whether or whether not he is a villian. He is accused of being one, but the court simply has ruled that he should appear in another court.

He is accused of being one,

Re: Back to Sweden you go, Assange
Assange claimed there have been no formal charges against him. True, or false?

Asking about whether formal charges have been made, not about whether he claimed it

The case against Assange is aimed at silencing WikiLeaks, which has made public thousands of secret US military documents exposing the criminal character of the invasions and occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq. WikiLeaks has also published hundreds of thousands of US diplomatic cables documenting the conspiracies carried out against the global population by Washington and its allies.

I thought the charges he was being extradited on were the sexual assault charges (if they're valid or not is a different matter)?

Yup, that apparently is the case...

That is what I wanted to say - He has got charges against him in sweden, which is enough for him to be extradicted. Whether or not they are valid is not up to the extradition court, but to the court that requested his extradition. They need him for his testimony.

:blah:. I don't figure how socialism vs capitalism figures into any of this. Nor in the case against Assange, nor in the post you posted.

He looks more and more like Mr Humphries from Are you Being Served every time I see him....

Except, of course, he'd have trouble saying 'I'm Free!' right now ;)

I thought the issue here was that they wanted to talk to him, and that he HADN'T been charged, this being the basis for all the complaints about character assassination.

Can we get some confirmation of whether or not he has been charged with anything?

Re: Back to Sweden you go, Assange
nope, if that was cleared up he might have to be given due process of the law, but we can't have that.
