Just found computer stability test: OCCT 4.0.0
Get it here.

Output is like so with an automatic power supply one-hour test, can also test CPU and GPU and optionally do a non-stop test (it will only stop if an error occurs).   Thoughts?  EDIT: Added main screen pic.

[lvlshot]http://i44.tinypic.com/8wjprp.jpg[/lvlshot]  -- Apparently, the above image had a similarly hashed image on tinypic or some other error (I don't know how they generate links, but this one borked lol.  So I used ImageShack.

Ya, I fixed it, see above FYI, anyone who doesn't know, this is the image that Tinypic linked after I uploaded GPU (2) above: (even after I realized the error and re-uploaded twice!)

Re: Just found computer stability test: OCCT 4.0.0
I tried out OCCT a few weeks back when I started getting really random crashes with bizarre symptoms.  The program is pretty cool, and maybe it's helpful in the event of an obvious hardware fault, but it didn't help me in the slightest.  I suspect if a hardware fault is obvious enough to manifest for that program, it probably decisively manifests in other ways too.

FurMark did a better job of stress-testing my GPU, while nothing really beats Prime95 for loading a processor.

isn't furmark the thing that the graphics companies got mad at for melting cards or something?

Re: Just found computer stability test: OCCT 4.0.0
It runs the graphics card at more or less 100% processing capacity, and doesn't ever give it a break unlike most games. Some graphics chips/cards that were running substandard or otherwise insufficient cooling systems and/or improper protection against excessive heat did indeed get hot enough to cause damage. And as such, both graphics card companies like to blacklist Furmark in their drivers, and each time the guy who writes Furmark manages to bypass the protection.
