So, I just realized that I hadn't enabled HLP ads on my laptop like I had on my desktop... I was wondering:

I've seen sites that detect AdBlock / AB+ and display a message pretty much along the following lines:

We noticed that you have AdBlock installed.  While we don't mind you blocking our ads, please consider a modest donation to help with our hosting fees.  Even $2 will go a long ways to cover our costs.  Alternatively, you could consider adding www.hard-light.net to your list of allowed sites in AdBlock's exceptions.

Thoughts?  Currently nothing happens; the site just displays without ads.

i believe its some sort of javascript/php based jiggery-pokery overall.
