I'm going to call it the GVF Ba if it ever get's released. I know it's far from finished, but here are some pics for you to comment on.

As far as I'm oncerned, it's just about OK, but not much more. What does everyone else think?

That looks quite nice to me actually, and it has the Vasudan architectural feel to it. (looks like some kind of bird, actually

) It might make a good interceptor or recon fighter. Now let's see a textured version.

Looks like a manta ray. I like the recessed parts, but:

1. It looks like you made it with some kinda metaballs, and then ported it to a poly modeler. I'm guessing something like 2000 polys, no?

2. Some of the recessed parts seem to have free polygons or summat. Anyway, the area's a tad confused. Can be fixed, and it's not all that bad now, but if I'm right that'll be a ***** to repair properly.

actually, to me it looks lile a single smooth group assigned to the whole ship along with high specualr settings.

I like the general shape, but something could be done with the tail. Perhaps truncating it and making a wide, flat engine? Or maybe splitting it into two thin tails, like the swift. (No, not a ship, a real bird. Read a book.

Swift:
3 : any of numerous small plainly colored birds (family Apodidae) that are related to the hummingbirds but superficially much resemble swallows

Edit: Hit post too quickly. The ship looks interesting, but for me at least it's hard to get an idea of the ship's actual geometry from those pics. (I'm used to looking at flat shaded wireframe models.) And there's no side view up there.

The side view looks crap, just a block with bumps. I actually made it in Gmax, and it has 768 polys according to Gmaxs polygon counter (Currently).

I thought about making the tail an engine, but I'd rather they go in the bac of the 'wings'. I'll try forking the tail now, but I don't know how it'll turn out.

GMax? You so have something to export it or convert it with right? Because it doesn't come with anything to export files into usable formats.
