If you're on XP, go into control panel->system and look around in there. There's an option to disable DEP. It's intended to stop malware from performing nasty things in assembly/using low level functions.

Nonsense! I know exactly what he's talking about!
I even have a diagram to show him!

Hopefully this helps out with your problem

stop trying to execute data, obviously.
Just give it a life sentence with no parole if it's really done something that horrible.

But then all the other data has to pay cycles tax to keep that data live, I say kill it where it stands since it isn't getting the chance to reform anyway.

Well, given that the attempted execution is resulting in error messages which are in turn being posted here, I'd say the costs of the appeal process has eclipsed the cost of quarantining the file.

Wat do?

The solution to this problem is incredibly simple, assuming that you're using Windows 7.

Open your command prompt (search 'command' and it should be the first result), and type in the following command.

Code: [Select]
format c: /p:2000 /v:dumbass

Windows say, "Data Execution Prevention has closed DoubleHelix.exe"

That's what she said!

If it weren't for that data execution prevention, I'd have closed her DoubleHelix.exe.  Nudge-nudge, wink-wink!  KnowwhatImean?  KnowwhatImean?   ;7
