Hmm, you are right. We can either tell him to improve or help him improve. For all you know he could be a 9-yr old fascinated my the world of modding. We should not be responsible for giving his such a bad impression that he abandons modding altogether. He could make the next Blue Planet, if we show him some love. Everyone starts small in the modding business and no one can be truly called a master. The catchphrase of this site is "Bringing Modders Together" not "Being mean and toying with fellow Modders". Whatever he is, he is a a fellow modder. So lets treat him at-least with some basic dignity. 

My final Advice -  If its impossible to comprehend what Wouter says, tell him and leave it be.

Yes, the man could use some help with his campaign. And communicating concepts. And I imagine it would be a daunting task, but not an impossible one. So before I start dropping the Ban Hammer, lets take a moment and reflect that either being polite or simply moving along somewhere else costs nothing to anybody.

if you move your data from one format to another using more than 0 intermediate formats this kinda stuff happens. i mean i just 2 days ago wrote an obj parser (for yet another attempt at a game engine), so i exported some of my ships and got similar results. see obj lets you set the length of your floats (stored in text) in some software (such as max). if you happen to have a vector component that is 12345e-9 or some such, it will cause our verts to appear in wierd places. people who write parsers and savers for text based model formats needs to learn to use string.format() correctly.

software usually gives you a buttload of export options, but never any inlut options. and a format like obj has a lot of options (such as how long your float strings are, and relative indexing, and all kinds of crap like that). which is sad because its pretty much a list of verts, a list of uvws, a list of vertex normals, and thats pretty much it. with some identifiers that indicate which material to use, which group/object/smoothgroup something belongs to. i was able to write a parser with just the file spec on wikipedia.
