Just thought I made a thread here.

If there is one thing I'm looking really forward in 2012, then it is this game. I'm not sure if there is much information available in englisch, but in this video is a lot of detail. The Video is just of the alpha-build, but it still looks nice.

German PC-Games described it true as if "Sins of Solar Empire and Ascendancy were having a baby, and getting some education tips from Homeworld an nexus". According to some of the images, some looked as great as Haegemonia. Also in the magazin they mention full mod support for the players.. Yay !

Man, I always loved Ascendany, I would love to see another similar  type of game.

This video is in englisch, with some nice shoots. This game could really be something, as long as they are not cutting out features for what issues ever.

Here are some nice images, it clearly shows how much inspired it is from Ascendancy. Not only the planet building screen, but even more, the ship equipment screen. It's actually really close to Ascendancy

Ascendency! Wow, that was pretty much one of the first ever CD computer games I ever played, and I played it a lot.

I never was able to really get into Sins, but if this thing takes more from the Homeworld/Ascendency side, it could be incredible.

Well, Sins isn't bad. Nice graphics, but the research is really slowing the game down and especially the battleship and defense base weapons are incredibly weak. It's like throwing furballs at the enemies armor. I modded those for more game fun

As for Ascendancy, I still play it from time to time, it runs fine in Dosbox   To bad Ascendancy 2 was cancelled

In that video, I agree. But since it's still in Alpha state, and some other images I have seen, I see it positive and hope for the best. In the PC Magazine I read, that you can see applied modules on the models, and that there are nice destruction and particle effects similar to haegemonia. Also a image showed nice debris on partially destroyed ships.

And to be honest, as much as a Graphic Whore I'm usually am, if there is a descent graphic with a good strategic part, then it's fine to mee. I have the biggest joy in micro managing ships and planets. That's why I like Starruler so much, and atm I'm playing Galactic Civ2 again, and that combat graphic certainly isn't good

So, just a few days Not sure how good it's advertised outside of Germany, but I think anyone interested in 4x space games should give this one a try, especially after the rather dissapointing efforts in this genre in the last few months.

The similarities to ascendancy seem to be really big (man, I loved ascendancy. A bummer there was never a second game, it was cancelled) and the battles seem to be like Sins...
Take a look here, I think it looks really promising, and I most excited that it has a single player campaign AND they promise full mod support. Finally something for the models rotting on my HD

It's already on my wishlist, I'm just waiting for a good sale. I loved Ascendancy too, it was just about my first CD-ROM game.

I even wanted to take a day off for this game But sadly, stupid Steam will only give it free at friday evening in my local time..... To bad, then I have to go to work next friday 

I can't wait to check out the modding options
