E-mail Mess UP. Need to speak with Admin.

Greetings everyone this is jc4jc.

I attempted to change my e-mail on my original account jc4jc and inadvertently put in an incorrect e-mail address. I really need to get this taken care of as there is vital information on that account for the mod I am working on.

First, there is no member with the exact username "jc4jc".

Second of all, to guard against the remote risk that you are an imposter, how can you prove who you say you are?

I can vouch for him. I received a pm with stuff only jc4jc would care about from the jc84jc00 account.

I did that once when signing up for a WordPress account.  I got around it by creating the incorrect e-mail account that I had specified, and then using "forgot password" on WordPress.  Works great -- assuming the e-mail account in question hasn't been claimed by someone else, of course.

I activated the account. That should give you no issues if you are the real user since the password won't change for that.

Hmm.  More accurately, neither the member list nor member search will find a user that isn't activated. :wtf:

Yes the jc84jc00 account is me. Thanks karajorma for activating it I'll fix my e-mail asap. And thanks to Goober5000 for being so up front with the situation and making sure it was me. Thanks, The E for validation that it was me. Thanks to all. This is the best community ever.

Oh btw what should I do with the jc84jc00 account just keep it in case this happens again or something?
