Hey guys, I don't know if this have been covered already, if it has bounce me over to that topic.

I recently convinced one of my friends who never experienced Freespace back in the day, to give it a shot. He downloaded FS2 from GoG, but when I tried to acquire the launcher (today) for him (both from google and from the link at the top of the forum) I just get a 'not found' error page.

Is the installer website down? I can roll the manual installation for him if necessary but from a convenience perspective it would be nice to use the installer.

The installer website is down, yes.  Turey is investigating.  There is no word on when it will be back up.

The new version of the installer is in progress, and will not rely on the availability of any one particular site.  However, it's not ready for release yet.  (But it's getting close.)
