:eek2: Wow, by comparison my evening looks hella-tame. I went to the cinema to see Spider-man on advance preview (it's out here next week).

It was cool. Better than AOTC, in my (controversial) opinion. But hey, it doesn't beat dancing with PVC girls... ;7

Bah..I saw it last month.

Course it was a superVCD squished aspect ratio version but it was very enjoyable.  I may well go to the cinema to watch it...makes a change to have a film released thats WORTH watching!

And :wtf: to all the rest of this thread!

Basically, an ear infection is when the ear flames up and swells because it's infected. This causes a massive increase in the production of ear wax which blocks the ear causing temporary deafness. Because of this blockage the infection continues and so on and so on. If the wax is allowed to harden it can become doubly painful although this can be prevented using oils (cooking oil will do, though I'm using something called "Earex" which seems to do the job). Antibiotics can be taken to treat the infection but if the wax doesn't drain off properly then the ear has to be siringed (I've got a few more days to get rid of it before that becomes an option). The upshot of which is a lot of ear wax, a lot of pain whenever the ear becomes inflamed, full of wax or is prodded. And one very annoyed Thunder.

This sounds very familiar; along with a slew of other symptoms, I used to have these kinds of problems at all times for many months before that operation. :p

Well...it could have been worse.

You could have had an infected wisdom tooth which I can tell you is utter hell.

Specially if it takes four weeks for them to make an extraction appointment when someone could have just knocked me on the head and used a flathead screwdriver to get it out :p

Either way..hope it gets better soon.

Yeah, well - you don't have it now ;)

Apparently the ear drum could have a hole in it... although the ear is to gunged up to tell properly.

I hate this

When I was still having trouble with that I had almost gotten used to hearing things at half-volume, since the ears sometimes remained clogged up for a month. :p

By the way, what is this PVC? Parliamentary Vasudan Cruiser?

Thunder, even if your eardrum has a hole in it, you'll still (I am almost certain) be able to hear fine once it's healed. They do, fortunately heal - as mine did when I burst it. Instead of getting bunged up wax when you burst an eardrum, you end up with lots of hot wax.

My wisdom teeth are coming through now, which is causing me some very minor irritation but at least they're not infected. Anyway, get well soon Thunder. :)

Oh, and CP - what was that operation? I'm guessing it wasn't just your ear that they 'fixed'. :D

Glue is PVA, not PVC. PVC is something like polyvinylchloride, and it's a type of plasticy material (being made of, uh, plastic) that can be used for clothing.

Which doesn't make it perverted, Zeronet, but an alternative fashion style. It's just that it's typically associated with groups and activities you clearly don't approve of.

Now I could say baggy trousers are 'perverted'...I'd be a hypocrite, but I could say it... :D
