I finally got sick of Firefox getting worse with every update and switched over to Chrome (so much better IMHO). Checking out the Chrome Store I stumbled onto Warlight, a really cool Risk clone. The free game is pretty fun and it has me thinking about dropping the $30 for the lifetime membership that allows you to play in ladders and tournaments.

There didn't seem to be anything posted about it so I thought I'd see if there were any Risk fans out there.

Risk is mostly strategy. Sure, when battling, luck can play a roll. If you're lucky, you'll be successful in your initial rolls. With this game, however, starting positions are mitigated by having neutral territories.

No amount of strategy will negate having ****ty luck in this game.
"I'll just invade this weak border with my 20 dudes and gain good ground from there!"

The only thing strategy accomplishes in this game is getting better odds.
