new planet trouble....

ok, im having trouble getting an image of a planet i made into the game.  Its saved as a pcx, its in the effects directory, and i've included it in an altered stars.tbl.  Whats the normal prcedure for inserting a new planet, and where might i be going wrong?

Is the PCX 256 colors? :D

Presuming everything is good, you shouldn't have any trouble.
