Here in the States, we're taking the loss to Germany really well. The US-Germany was
so close, it could have turned on a dime at any second of the game. We lost several possible goals by only a few feet.
Still, we made Germany earn that win. And we're all pretty happy about how we did in the World Cup. I mean, who would have thought that the USA would stay in the game longer than Mexico, France
and Argentina? As I recall, all three of those countries took their losses hard (for good or ill). As for us, yeah, we're out, but the US team fought tooth and nail to stay in as long as they did.
We're proud of our team. I don't think Mexico, France and Argentina can say the same thing. All three of those countries were
really upset at losing so soon, especially Mexico since they lost to their arch-rival, the United States. (I think they're still pissed about losing Texas to us also. Hey, we didn't take it, Santa Ana lost it!

)
Too bad about England, too. USA and England were the two teams I was rooting for in the Cup; now that they're both out, I don't really have anyone to root for anymore.
And just for the fact that I'm an Argentine-American, I
refuse to root for the Brazil team (bunch of arrogant bastards, they are).
On the other hand, maybe I could start rooting for Senegal....
