First off I know what your thinking but this is not just a dream that I have it's something that can be made.

The campaign is Lucifer's Fate, and it takes place three moths after Capella.

Anyway, I a'm looking for some mission makers and staff, and someone to make a website, and get hosting. I can handle some of this but I need some nittrest here dudes so what do you all say?

And on a side note I have a start on the plotline, and have all the mods I need ready exsept for some others that need a modeler, textger artest to help me with.

What is the plot of Lucifer's Fate? I would try to help out, but I cant even get myself todo the missions I need todo now, including my FS2 problems. Nothing works when you want it do, does it?

By the name, does it involve the Lucifer threatening the future of the GTVA?

yes and more thing too, the plot is as follows:

Lucifer’s Fate
A Freespace 2 Expansion pack
Story:

It has been 3 months sense the loss of the Capella system and we have finally built the subspace portal to Earth, and all is well an expedition force that was sent in to find out what had happened found that Earth was the same as it had always been.
At first we did not know what to expect from our home but they had been waiting for us.
The GTVA was now a hole once again.
But a new civil-war has comes from the, a rouge Terran commander, and captain declare war on the GTVA, and the rebellion has a great affect on the Alliance.
Now the GTVA is pressed into a war with an old enemy.

But little did we know that at that vary moment yet another Shivan scouting fleet was on its way to lay down the final judgment on our race.
Once again the GTVA must now fight Lucifer, and hell it’s self to survive.

Note: the new rebles have no name yet I think I might just have the GIT come back.

Let's take a close look at the plot. Can a subspace portal actually be made within 3 months of its discovery? A portal would probably take years to build. You might want to change the amount of time between them.

They had too find new resorcess and I think it could be possible what with all the data that they got from Knossos, and reamber the GTVA still has alot of systems to draw from, and the thing is that it is possible in this story because this one is only half the size of the Knossos.

As a last thing to add think about the fact that the shivans and the HOL, NTF are all gone now for three months with no civl wars or the shivans too stop them the GTVA could focess all of their power into this one projct.

I think it's not the size that matters, it's the technology.  Even the most conservative camapigns give 5-10 years to build a new gate.

BTW, I think that the story sounds (IMO) a bit too similar to FS2 at the moment.

obviously the storyline can be changed a bit, but that's a very valid point you've got, wouldn't want people thinking that it's copying the FS2 storyline

It's not a copy of the FS2 storyline thats the sum of it, the actual story is vary differnt. and if you must have it changed I could make it so the Gate has been built but they are still testing and perfecting systems that will be used for the Subspace Gate.

The criticism is noted but if I made it 3-5 years after the ships of the game would become obsolete, And people stop criticieing my Ideas!:(  This has to stop now I a'm sick of it, and as for the how longe it would take to build that war whent for like year anyhow.

Without constructive criticism from these people before you start making the campaign, they won't like it when you finally put all that time into finishing it.  These guys are the people who are going to be downloading and playing your work, and they know what they're talking about.  If you want to make a great campaign that people are going to love like Warzone and Derelict, you have to listen to the community and see what they want to be playing.

And they're not flaming or being rude, so don't take constructive criticism personally!  They're just trying to help you make your campaign better.  Ignore them, and its :headz: for you!!

How so?  Most of the ships you fly in FreeSpace 2 have just started becoming front line units.  And a flagship like the Aquitane would be first to get them too.  Meanwhile, there are still lots of GTVA units flying the original Hercules and Ulysses during FS2.

People will criticize your ideas.  If you put them out there, be prepared to back them up or accept some changes.  The war was probably about three months or maybe four.  Alot happened granted...but it all was pretty quick.

Ok so your saying that they would not make alot o new ships in that time? And as for the other post I'm sorry I just under alot of presher this weak. I got all this free time to do stuff and don't konw what to do with it all, and I would like to have this projct up and runiing soon so I have something to do.:sigh:

As for the impout your right in that it would take some time for them to build the gate but hows this Idea? What if they just had the frame of the Gate but not all of the internial parts are in yet.

This could also be a setup for the reatern home, and have it set up so that when you get home the rebles could try to blockade the gate?

I think that could be a good way to have you start out in some simple escort missions, like a covoy that is under attack bay the new reble faction, carying some of the internial parts?

The GTVA is going to be pretty poor after the war. They lost Capella and have to resettle all the refugees. That doesn`t give them an enormous amount of money to play with.
Furthermore, the research that the GTVA is working on will be aimed at making a knossos rather than new ships.
Don`t worry that the current GTVA ships will be obsolete in 3-5 years. The Orion was still serving in FS2 and that was set 32 years after FS1.

what would you say the story should be like?

Your right about the money bit that much is serten, and would they be geting help from the Vasudans too?.... should they help?

and if so than will the new rebles use that as a reason to attack the GTVA?

P.S. just looking for some more impout from you all.

When I said GTVA I didn`t mean just the Terrans. The vasudans know exactly what it feels like to lose your homeworld. I think they might be the first to offer help, even before the terran side does.
You could have your rebels as vasudans who don`t like having humans helped by vasudan money. Or an off-shoot of the capellan refugees who don`t want to accept vasudan help and don`t think that anyone else should either.

That plot is waaaaaayyyy too much like the FS2 plot. I mean, except for the gateway part, it's exactly like the FS2 one. Besides, wow, GTVA got to Earth. Doesn't change the storyline at all. Maybe the G---never mind, that's my plot :D

Keep in mind that the story is not the final copy, and will most likely be changed in some way or another. As for the ships and all I think that the GTVA, when it gets back to Earth they would have to focess all their reasorcess they have too get the fleet up to full strangth.

And the old enemy is not the shivans, the bigest part of my story will tray to explain what happend to Admiral Aken Bosch, and whay the shivans blooup the Capella sun.

Ontop of that is the reason the NTF, HOL, and GTI did what they did. Basicly I will tray to make this as good as the story in FS2 was.

The story needs a bit of revamping, but I have an interesting idea.:devilidea  Head over to my websitewww.valhalla.dreamstation.com and take a read of the story.  There is tons of room to implement your ideas, and together we might get a fantastic plot.  The campaigns seem to be easy to combine into one.  I even have a nifty idea to get that portal of yours in there, fully operational.  Please send me a private message, either to discuss the possibilites, or to tell me to buzz off. :sigh:  If this offer doesn't appeal to you at all, then I wish you luck.  ;) And what ever you do, don't do another "Return to Earth" campaign.  There's so many quality campaigns (BWO for 1) out there already based on that plot.

Yeah the return to Earth thing has been done so many times it's pretty much cliche'd by now.
