I suppose at the very least you need to provide:

  • The platform you are running it on
  • The make and model of the emulator you are utilizing
  • A bribe of booze for the assistance

Then you should provide the information on platform you wish to run them on and the emulator model as requested above.  Folks cannot automagically divine your environment and issues from a post completely devoid of specifics.

A cursory search reveals quite a few videos on you tube dealing with using dreamcast emulators for the PC, I'd take a look at those.

Note that game console bioses are technically illegal to download.

Re: dreamcast emulator how to get it work
Honestly, not the best emulator to use. I recommend Chankast
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/dreamcast/chankast.html

If you want a comprehensive list, here's one for all the emulators
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/dreamcast/

You shouldn't require much else other than the emulator itself, and the roms of the games to go with it.
However, I did find this as well

I'm presuming you haven't binded anything properly in that case. Reset the program and bind the keys to their appropriate buttons
If you're using a gamepad, you have to make sure it's selected (and recognized) by the program. Afterwards, bind the keys

As I am presuming what the issue itself is, I could be completely wrong and would then ask what is the situation leading up to the problem

Re: dreamcast emulator how to get it work

Usually it's just a matter of clicking the key you want to bind on the Settings menu, then hitting it on your keyboard

I did come across this, perhaps it's similar to your problems

EDIT: I also found out why DreamEMU wasn't working for you
This is an excerpt on the emulator descriptions
Quote from: DreamEMU
Currently shows the Sega opening screen and runs some demos slowly.

Alternatively, you could just check out other emulators and see how they fare
