Since there's interest, I thought I'd create a thread for us so its all in one place and I can just go make a list in the first post of everyone involved.  Post here if you're interested!

Tentative faction and server choices are Vanu on Mattherson, a U.S. East server.

Anyone have any preferred names for it?  I'd just as soon call us "Hard Light Productions" with the [HLP] tag since that's a nice descriptive umbrella with no messy factional disputes arising from using mod-related names.  There have already been issues like that regarding an HLP squadron for Star Citizen, and I'd really like to not start those here.

My main character is NC on Soltech (Matherson soon) US East.
I have an alt who is VS on Lithcorp (Cobalt soon) EU. I could be convinced, if necessary, to re-create her on Matherson though, I haven't spent any certs yet.

I've made a VS character on Mattherson with the name of SpardaSon21VS (original, I know).  Unless there are any objections with the name, faction, or server, sometime Sunday night my time (PST/GMT-8), I'll just make an Outfit named Hard Light Productions with the tag [HLP].

Which continent will we be based on? My NC is based in Indar, and I think it would be weird for me to fight against... me, or at least my old outfit.

I didn't think we had to be actually based on a continent given we can just warpgate to wherever we want.  If you want a specific continent though, I haven't fought long enough on Amerish to develop an opinion of it, but I am fond of Esamir's open spaces for easy vehicle use.

I mean that it would be better to have a "base" continent, to make it easy to figure out where the rest of the outfit is. Esamir sounds good to me, I'll try to create a VS sometime later today.

Actually, let's all go fight on Amerish because there's more than one tech plant on there so there's actually a chance for epic tank battles in narrow canyonways where HA can start sniping from the rocks.

New char is up, and already moving along. We had the whole continent to our platoon, for about an hour before a huge TR platoon showed up. Then I had to log and sleep.

How bad can the lag be from EU?

From the EU to the Eastern U.S.?  I'd say it all depends on how well your local infrastructure is connected to the rest of the Internet.  I know Destiny who lives in Singapore hasn't complained about connection lag when connecting to Waterson.
