The only thing that I was severely disappointed in S3 was the opening, which didn't make any sense. The last time we saw Sam he was surrounded by a thousand wights and nowhere near where the ravens were so how the heck could it have been his job to send them? The only explanations which would make sense was if 1) he somehow climbed to the Fist (where the ravens would have been) before the battle or 2) the Night's Watch actually managed to bring the ravens down with them and then tasked him with sending them. Neither really makes any sense, or were even hinted at.

I was really looking towards to how the S2 finale would be resolved, but no. :blah:

I recommend writing off everything north of the Wall and everything involving Dany as **** that will never be handled well in books or TV. (astapor was cool tho)
