It didn't click with me. It's a nice try, but I just felt it was missing something, you know? Like it could have been done a whole lot better. Would have been funny if he'd picked up the ball, muscled his way through the team, dived over the goal line and shouted "TOUCHDOWN!!!" 

I've heard stories of gridiron football players being sent to train with soccer players in American schools as a punishment and ending up puking their guts up because they can't handle it. I'd have liked to see that, minus the puke!

they never trained with us, but they would sometimes start bleeding over onto our practice field.  i felt embarrassed watching some of them try to up-down.  our coach yelled at them to stop putting holes in our field by flopping their fat asses down on it.

and then there was that time their punters/kickers and our goalkeepers (me) ended up on the same field for a while.  it was fun easily out-kicking them.

yeah, done that.  probably wasn't quite 300 lbs and obviously not a pro player, but still not as bad as the kind of **** that happens to goalkeepers.  or getting cleated in the ankle whilst sprinting.
