alright isn't even a word :p  You didn't go to Baltimore City public schools by any chance, did you, BL? ;)

For those of you outside Maryland, one of Charm City's slogans is "The City That Reads," posted at bus stops, etc.  Many of them have been vandalized to such clever things as
  • "The city that reads at a 3rd grade level"
  • "The city that breads"  -- (breeds, get it, it's misspelled, haha, very witty)
(I too am a product of the public school system, and a really swell state university)

EDIT: fixed misspellings!    Boy is my face red.

LOL, the VBB is bad.

Most game forums are worse then the VBB ever was. The difference is the other game forums were moderated, VBB wasnt.

For an unmoderated board, it wasnt nearly as bad as others think.

VBB may have had its bad apples, but which site doesnt. Im sure this place has banned its fair share. Or atleast warned a few

I won't miss the VBB on bit...except that it kept alot of the nasty stuff away from things here.  What I love about this forum is the intelligence and integrity of most of the people around here.

After the glory days (and yes, I was there), all I ever saw on that forum were a bunch of whiny newbies all complaining to each other about how much they want fs3 and when it would come out, etc.
At least nobody here at the HLPBB announces the 100th post. :D
That was another thing the VBB was always full of.
At times it was just such an unpleasant place because of all the worthless threads and all the flaming.
I diddn't see much of the good times but I saw enough to understand what this is all about
Now I only come here and the VWBB exclusively.

*sigh*

Yea the old days ruled. Sadly the closing ofthe SW Forum was kind of the first stone that tore it all down. EVERYthing went downhill from there.

Even sadder is the fact that with a very very LITTLE support from V,...FS2 and SW could have gone one to outlive many other games and make one hell of a name for itself.

I'm kinna suprised it ever lasted this long without any support.

But now ...SW itself is on barrowed time,...I mean all it takes is a few teams to lock up matches and it's done with. Hell right now a new player can't play fs2 online AT ALL because PXO never emails new accounts. No new teams are able to sign up for SW at all.

It's all just a big damned shame.

I agree with most of the sentiment here--although I came across the VBB near the end of its lifespan, I saw the place gradually go to hell under the constant barrage of flamers, trolls, and whiny newbies.  Too bad, it was fun while it lasted.

Erase the hate, people!  Can't we all just get along!?  ;)

Also, I'm from the U.S. and public school educated, and i can read and write just good.

Do you know how much fun we could have if we had the power to run SW? Dammit.....Be like old times
