Hello,

I've installed the AoA mod and selected the correct FS2 open file in the launcher, however when i start the game, it's running the original FS2 missions and the databank is also set to the origial game version.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Please post your fs2_open.log file.  Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

Have you selected the Blue Planet campaign in the campaign room?

Ok, done that (school boy error), got into the game, started the first mission, started the jump to earth but the game crashed. New log loaded showing the error. not sure what to do next. Any ideas?

That particular warning is usually one you can click through without issue, the release build shouldn't be crashing there.

Code: [Select]
FreeSpace 2 Open version: 3.6.17.9481
You really should be using the build from this thread, not the one from the installer. The latter has some serious bugs, one of which will eventually destroy your pilot file.

For a number of reasons, Program Files (and Program Files (x86)) is a poor location for a FreeSpace 2 installation. Move your installation out of Program Files and to a short path like C:\Games\FreeSpace2.
